Has it ever happened to you?

You took out the bread hungry, but you noticed suspicious white spots,
incipient mould, and you had to throw the bread out?
Or were you annoyed that the bread had
become bone dry in a few days?

Wouldn’t you be comforted by the feeling
that your bread not only stays fresh,
but also has no invisible moulds on it,
whether you eat it in 2 or 10 days?

Mould and drying

out are usually the result of inadequate storage.
Beyond being annoying, bread thrown away because of mould is a waste of food and money.

Common problems with bread storage:

  • In a nylon bag, it will mould in 1-2 days.
  • Wrapped in paper towels or kitchen towels, it dries out the next day.
  • When refrigerated, it becomes spongy and stiff.
  • In a closed box, it becomes moist and damp.

Whichever storage method we look at,
wetting and drying out are the two main problems.
Can these be solved at the same time?

Our answer is YES!

Our answer is YES!

You can simply and safely
STORE THE BREAD
and extend its freshness by days.

After lots and lots of testing and trial, we found a special liner that solves both problems.

IT ENSURES OPTIMUM VENTILATION OF THE BAKED GOODS DURING STORAGE.

We used this textile to create our lined bread bag.

How does it work?

Our bread bag is double-layered.

The lining is a special “breathable” material:

  • food-safe, meaning that no toxic substances come into contact with the bread
  • tested in a laboratory
  • porous layer for optimal ventilation
  • OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certification
  • BPA free

The outer fabric is 100% linen or cotton canvas with a hand-printed pattern.
When the bread bag is closed, it can ventilate just enough through the double fabric to allow the bread to retain its moisture but not to become damp, leaving little chance for mould to develop.

What does the bag give You?

You put the bread in “naked” and you know that it

  • remains in the right consistency for days
  • does not become damp
  • does not become spongy
  • does not mould
  • from morning to night, the cutting surface is barely dry.

you don’t have to worry about whether you can eat it or not.

Our bread bags have been subjected to several tests:

For ten days, we tested a plain, store-bought loaf of bread
in an apartment with average humidity
to see if it would mould.

Later, we tested several rounds of different types of bread,
looking at how long the bread stays fresh enough,
when the crust and the inside are still enjoyable,
not dried out.

On the tenth day of our testing,

  • The bread stored in our bread bag remained mould-free.
  • The other stored in the plastic bag showed increasing green and black mould
from the third to fourth day.

You’ve experienced it too, haven’t you?

In our freshness test,

  • store-bought yeast breads stay fresh for 4 days
  • home-baked breads stay fresh for 5 days
  • sourdough breads stay fresh for up to 8 days.

According to a survey by
the Public Health Authority,
the average household throws
away 12 kg of food per month.

20% of this is bakery products, worth about 4 EUR/month.

So a bag of bread can pay for itself in 4 months.

  • you can use it for years (you can wash it)
  • can be a decoration in your kitchen,
  • an annoying problem disappears from your life
  • you won’t throw away any more bread
  • you end up saving the price of the bread you don’t throw away.
